InterContinental Sydney is delighted to be the official hotel partner of Fleurs de Villes: PRIDE. This visionary exhibition of floral artistry pays tribute to some of the LGBTQIA+ community’s most influential advocates. Located in the Calyx within the Sydney Royal Botanic Garden, Fleur de Villes: Pride will run from 17th to 26th of February, with a special WorldPride Opening Concert viewing party taking place on the 24th.

World Pride at the Art Gallery of New South Wales features art, performances, films and talks that celebrate queer representation. Ongoing exhibtions in the Art Gallery’s South Building will provide a look into contemporary queer art being made today, as well as a look back on the important role the LGBTQIA+ community has played in the art world. An extensive program of thought-provoking events will feature crowd-favourite Queer Art After Hours, along with artist demos, film showings and panel discussions.

The beating heart of Sydney Mardi Gras, WorldPride 2023 will transform Oxford Street and the surrounding Crown and Riley Streets into Pride Village. These pedestrian-only areas will become a hub of Pride-filled atmosphere, featuring market street stalls, dining options amd live performances. Besides the iconic Mardi Gras parade on the 25^th of February, on the final weekend of WorldPride (4^th – 5^th of March), Oxford street will close to traffic and transform into an unforgettable street party.

Mardi Gras is the pinnacle of Sydney’s annual pride celebration (2023 marks its 45^th anniversary!), and this year it will be bigger and better than ever. Taking place on the 25^th of February, Mardi Gras will showcase over 200 floats and 12,000 marchers to celebrate this year’s theme: Gather, Dream Amplify. Witness this dazzling day of Pride street-side for free, or purchase tickets to the parade’s premium viewing spaces.

Held at Customs House, Liberate! Sydney takes an archival look at the fight for equal rights for the LGBTQIA+ community throughout the past half-century. Witness the creation of queer-amplifying organisations, stories behind the battle for marriage equality and more through the lens of prominent queer documentary photographers and filmmakers in this moving and educational exhibition.
