Experience Mopoke Festival
The first 24-hour art festival to reach Australian shores, Mopoke will transform Macquarie Street into a hub of interactive artistry. Running non-stop from 6PM on the 4th of February to 6PM the next day, Mopoke will feature silent discos, live musical performances, glow-in-the-dark Play Dough gardens a bevy of fine food and drink options and of course, visual art of all forms.

Visit the Art Gallery of New South Wales
When respite from the summer heat is calling, make your way to air-conditioned comfort of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, which opened the sleek glass doors to its expansive new addition in December 2022. Just a short walk from the city centre, this new wing features thought-provoking contemporary works from Australian and international artists. Visitors can explore both the new gallery, currently dubbed the “North Building” as well as the original Gallery, recently revitalized and now called the “South Building”.
